Bus back to Manchester
Nothing really to report on today. We took the Megabus back to Manchester, checked in at our hotel, realized that no one is open for laundry today or tomorrow, and then ate a ton of McDonalds while catching up on Andor and Lower Decks in our hotel room.
Another observation about the UK: everyone either smokes or vapes. Can't say I'm a fan of that fad.
Jeff? Anything to add to liven up this blog post?
Two of my biggest pet peeves continues to be slow walkers and group walkers who take up the whole sidewalk. Today, it seemed that we were surrounded by both. Please, I'm begging you. You don't have to speed up, that would be ableist. Just amble at either side and leave the middle clear to pass.
Meanwhile, Megabus continues to be Aggressively Fine. It takes around twice the time of the train, but it's about 1/8th the price and 1/3 the comfort. You get what you pay for and all that, and I wouldn't recommend it for everyone. (Angie here: totally pay the extra pound for one of the reserved seats near the front! They are the first to go but we snagged them for this trip back and it's totally worth it.)
Focusing on the positives, all of our long travel days are behind us. It'll be nice to not spend 5+ hours of our day on a bus tomorrow for the first time since Monday. Since it was all travel, all the time today, I only snapped two pictures today. Enjoy!

Tomorrow, we're off to Liverpool to fulfill Angie's lifelong goal of visiting the hometown of some very famous musicians. And beyond Echo & The Bunnymen, The Beatles are from there apparently. It should be a good time. Leave a comment with your favorite Liverpudlian landmark or feature and we'll try to squeeze it in tomorrow.
